Meaning:

If you beat around the bush, or beat about the bush, you don’t say something directly, usually because you don’t want to upset the person you’re talking to.

Stop beating about the bush. Just tell me what’s happened!

Olympic Spirit Captured in North and South Korean ‘Selfie’

Lee Eun-ju is a South Korean gymnast. She is representing her country at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.  Hong Un-Jong is a North Korean gymnast. She is the 2008 Olympic vault gold medalist. Like Lee, she is the only woman gymnast representing her country at this year’s Olympic Games.  The two athletes competed in the same session. During a practice, photographers caught the two athletes taking a “selfie” together.

Olympic Firsts Highlight Opening Weekend

There have already been a lot of “firsts” to celebrate at the 2016 Summer Olympics.  Team USA won the first gold medal of the Games on Saturday. Ginny Thrasher won the gold medal in the women’s 10-meter air rifle competition early in the day. She finished 1 point ahead of Du Li, the silver medalist from China.  It is the 19-year-old’s first Olympic Games. She entered her first shooting competition just five years ago.

MUSIC
Made Of Stone – Evanescence

Speak your mind
Like I care
I can see your lips moving
I’ve just learned not to hear
Don’t waste your time

It’s never enough for you, baby
Don’t want to play your game anymore
No matter what you say
I’m all out of love for you, baby
And now that I’ve tried everything
I’ll numb the pain till I am made of stone

Take your time
I’m not scared
Make me everything you need me to be
So the judgement seems fair
Don’t waste your time

It’s never enough for you, baby
Don’t want to play your game anymore
No matter what you say
I’m all out of love for you, baby
And now that I’ve tried everything
I’ll numb the pain till I am made

To tear out my heart
For the way that it feels
I will still remember when you’ve long forgotten me

It’s never enough for you, baby
Don’t want to play your game anymore
No matter what you say
I’m all out of love for you, baby
And now that I’ve tried everything
I’ll numb the pain till I am made of stone

It’s never enough
It’s never enough
It’s never enough for you
I’ll numb the pain till I am made of stone
I’ll numb the pain till I am made of stone
